Hello and a warm welcome to the Hallow WI Website. I was honoured to be re-elected as President in October 2011 and with my wonderful and hard working committee we strive to provide an interesting and wide variety of speakers, social events and trips for all our members. Our WI boasts a Skittles Team; Craft Club, Walking Club; Book Club; Lunch Club and an Eco Club which works in conjunction with the local community to raise awareness of environmental issues and, we are always open to new ideas for activities. Hallow WI first met in June 1943 and we currently have a membership of almost 70. Our meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month (except August) at 7.30pm in the Parish Hall. These meetings are active and lively and we like to think of them as social events where we meet old friends and make new ones. Now, with modern technology and the internet, we are able to reach a wider audience and for those members 'on line', provide information on our activities at the touch of a button. We look forward to a full programme for 2012 and are always happy to welcome new members and visitors. I look forward to seeing you at our meetings. Jeanette Riddex President
